South Sudan President Salva Kiir Mayardit has dismissed Finance Minister Salvatore Garang Mabior in a surprise cabinet reshuffle, appointing Kuol Daniel Ayulo as his replacement in a move that signals continued restructuring within the country’s economic leadership.

According to the announcement, Salvatore Garang Mabior, who was appointed to the finance docket in February 2026, has been relieved of his duties with immediate effect.
